E3126 came about as my plans for a 25kv overhead layout were based at around 1967, and the 86/4's had not been considered at that time - my records state that E3173 (aka Zebedee) didn't get Flexicoils until May 1969 at Crewe works. E3126 started life as Hornby's 86219 Phoenix and basically suffered a re-paint, re-number and surgery to the flexicoil mouldings to shape them similar to the inverted A-frames of the original design.

As well as the underframe mods, I do like to add a realistic headcode where an indicator box is provided. E3126 is no exception and carries the usual un-even code.
Although the mechanism is standard, a further 150g has been added to assist with the standard UK model failure of insufficient weight for traction purposes.
