"LADY BOUNTIFUL"

Now financially well off, Lucia decides to put her capital to good use, and donates money toward restoring the church organ. Persuading the Padre to obtain the local Bishop to "christen" the new organ, she also invites the Mayor and press along. Her donations to the many charities also bring her offers to be on the committees for the local hospital and sports club, which she keenly accepts. Another flood at "Grebe" forces Mapp and Major Benjy to obtain refuge at "Mallards", where Mapp quickly makes herself at home again. Lucia is invited to take a place on the town council, much to Mapp’s chagrin, and her ire is further heated when Lucia and Georgie announce their plans to wed.
