How regular??
30th May 2001: The poll regarding Time of Year of caryvention (started on 2nd February) has so
far received very mixed results. A suggestion has been put forward that it might be a good idea to change the regularity
of the Caryvention from approx. every 12 months, to approx. every 18 months.
There are several advanatages to this:
- People will have more time to save up for the next Caryvention after
the most recent one.
- It gives the organisers more time to ...er...organise!
- And, finally it gives a choice of times of year to those who are unable
to attend at a particular time of year due to work or school commitments.
And disadvantages ...well, I can think of only one, and that is if you are unable to attend a caryvention there
will be a longer time to wait until the next one. Perhaps you can think of others....if you can please put them in the forums for people to see!
The poll regarding this issue will close at the end of August...so get your vote in now! (see right). The "Time
of Year" poll is still open, although the results may become redundant should the 18 month option be popular.

Future Locations:
In order to allow the most Cary Grant fans to attend a Caryvention the
location is changed each year. The general route is Eastern USA, Europe, Western USA, back to Eastern USA and so
on. You can find out about previous caryventions by going to the
past page. Of course, if there is enough call for a caryvention
in another part of the world we will add it to the circuit.
The 2001 Caryvention will be held in Washington, D. C. (Eastern USA), which means that the 2002 location will be
in Europe. At the present time, the location has not been decided. If you have a suggestion for a location in Europe
please let us know in the forums!
Once we have a reasonable list of locations a poll will be started in which the final location will be chosen.
