An account by Aileen:
Well the day started out with me getting up a great deal earlier on a saturday than I am used to, to get to Rugby station to get the train to London (it wasn't entirely London brides meeting April). Having arrived at Euston I decided that I had enough time before meeting everyone to shop. This is not good news for me as I have a terrible habit of spending more than I mean to! I visited Boosey and Hawkes music shop and spent too much on barbershop music for a group that I sing in. I THEN made the fatal mistake of visiting a bookshop (another shopping weakness of mine) - where I managed to pick up some cards with the crop duster scene from NxNW on incidentally. By the time I had finished in there it was approaching 12.20 so I headed off for No.18 Berwick Street otherwise known as the Mediterranean Café, where I met up with Derna, Sarah and Karen - great to see them all again. We hung about a bit then decided that it was getting too cold outside, so we thought we'd wait inside the cafe. Whereupon April and her friend Tom turned up. Introductions all round and then the serious business of ordering lunch. This completed we were then subjected to the Spanish inquisition by April who wanted the lowdown on everyone, but by the time it got round to me I was prepared (ah ha) so it wasn't so bad!! Lunch arrived and over lunch we talked about all sorts of things from Cary to cats and godchildren. Lunchtime over we had the photo shoot and then off to hit HMV, Virgin megastores and the like. At which point I had to leave as I had to get back to Euston to catch the train back. All in all a great day.
