Cary Grant - An Internet Biography has been written in an effort to provide web fans of CG with a bit more information about the man than is currently available on the web. As such it is more detailed than the so-called "mini-biographies" that you tend to find on the web. I have tried not to make it too detailed - I have no intention of competing with any of the excellent books that are available about Cary Grant. Cary Grant - An Internet Biography, has been written in such a way that it should be possible to read the story of Cary Grant straight through without bothering yourself without unnecessary details about his marriages etc. You will find these details in the appendices which can be accessed individually (from the contents), or by linking to relevant passages from the main text. I would also like to point out that I am not really a writer, more an engineer, and as such you may find the text lacking in emotional gushiness about how great - or not - Cary Grant was. I also have tried not to draw any conclusions about his behaviour or about the quality of his films. I believe that this is really up to every individual to decide what they think and believe, and hope I have managed to extract the facts, rather than the opinions, from the books I used to compile this biography. The male friends page of Cary Grant: An Internet Biography has attracted a lot of attention, and personal "hate mail" to me. This is because many single-minded people seem to think that by including information about Cary's male friends I am supporting the rumors of Cary's homosexuality and bisexuality. This is not the case .... but as with most heterosexual men, Cary's male friends had as much of an impact on his life as his female friends and as such these people should be included in his biography. With regard to this issue please respect Cary's response. He once said of unauthorised biographies: "They all repeat rumours that I'm a tightwad and that I'm homosexual. As you can imagine, this biography has taken a lot of time and effort to write. While I hope you will enjoy it, I would prefer that you did not copy any part of it in any way, shape or form - although you are of course welcome to save it and read it off-line, I don't want anyone complaining that I ran their phone bills up!!
