ARTISTS BIO:
Ever since he was strong enough to grab a pencil and a piece of paper, Acevedo has been expressing his own mind in beautiful images. He was encouraged by drawing from cartoons and comic books; his first source of inspiration.
Acevedo developed an interest in fine arts in his youth and decided to start his career by achieving a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. Thriving to his goal of being a full time artist, he traveled from Puerto Rico to the United States to achieve his financial stability. During the day, Acevedo works as a caseworker and during the night, he is a full time artist.
He recently moved to Cape Coral, FL and his art studio is stationed inside his home. Acevedo’s career has spanned between Puerto Rico and Florida, and has sold many pieces to different people around the world.
Many of his artworks are commissioned referrals and he has been contacted by many galleries.
Acevedo’s artistic expression is always morphing and maturing. He is developing his own surreal voice, merging his vision in the Latino context. His recent works defines Acevedo’s perception on the musicality in his recent commission.
His talent and commitment of being a true artist document his immense dedication and hard work.
