Colin's Taels

GREETINGS, Gentle Surfer...

...and welcome to Colin's Taels. Your presence confers honour on this humble website. Here you will find my online diary, two stories written by me, a feature on the "Kai Lung" stories of Ernest Bramah and a complete Kai Lung story.

My stories are both connected with the debilitating condition known as ME (or CFS or CFIDS) which restricts my life, though fortunately not as much as it used to.

Both stories have been printed in Perspectives, the journal of The ME Association (UK), and appear here by kind permission of the Association. So too does the following cartoon which was suggested by me, drawn by Di Shaw and printed in the Association's newsletter. It is based on one of the many silly questions I have been asked by doctors and alternative therapists over the years. A larger image is available if required.

In case you are wondering what a tael is, it's an old Chinese unit of currency. As it sounds the same as "tale", the word can suggest either a story or something that is of value.

Thank you so much, Gentle Surfer, for visiting Colin's Taels. May the Powers of Goodness guide your surfing.
