April 2007 Jayne Jumps into triple jump history. At the Scottish Womens League meeting at Meadowbank Jayne Nisbet set a new Scottish National record in the Triple Jump of 13.01m.

February 2007 Victories for Freya Murray (Senior), Emily Owens (U13) and a Second place team prize for the U/15's at the Scottish Power National Cross Country Championships, topped another successful season for all our Cross Country Athletes and again we must praise the effort and commitment of coaches Enid Johnston and Christina Dunnet.

At the AAA's Junior Championships Jayne Nisbet won
Gold in the Triple Jump 12.43m. and Bronze in the High Jump 1.73m.
Emma Lowery won Silver in the U/17 Pentatalon Championships with a points total of 2845.

In the European Trials/Uk Championships in Sheffield,
a Silver for Gillian Cooke in the Long Jump with 6.33m for a new National Record. Another Silver and National Record for Kirsty Maguire in the Pole Vault clearing 4.10m and to make up the hat-trick of Silvers MSusan Deacon was second in the 200m with a time of 24.03secs.
Completing the medal haul was Gillian Kerr with a
Bronze in the Triple Jump with 12.83m

Kirsty Maguire set a new National Record in Pole Vault at the Scottish Univerities Championships clearing 4.15m.
January 2007New National records were set at the DM Hall National Indoor Championships. Gillian Kerr with 12.82m in the Triple Jump and , Gillian broke the record again 24 hours later with a jump of 12.87m in the Indoor City Challenge.

November 2006 Edinburgh Southern Harriers were awarded the Scottish Sunday Mail Team of the Year, at the Scottish Athletics Annual Awards and Conference in Glasgow. Anne Scott manager of the Senior Womens Team, which won the UK League Division One Championship, accepted the award on behalf of the Club.

November 2006 Congratulations to our Young Athletes Cross Country team in winning the National and East District Cross Country Championships.

August 2006 Edinburgh Southern were crowned UK Womens League Division One Champions. In the final match at Eton, with a fantastic team effort, we finished a close second to Sale Harriers, this along with our 1st place in the first match and 3rd in the second match was enough to give us victory in the League.
Team manager Anne Scott said "It's great that a Scottish Club is at the top of UK athletics", adding "This was a superb team performance over the three matches and a fantastic achievment", "This is very much a club team and the team effort displayed was fantastic", she added "I would also like to record our gratitude to Scottish Athletics for supporting us with a contibution to our travel costs"

July 2006Susan McKelvie won Gold in the Hammer, at the U23 AAA Championships held in Bedford.
Lisa Ferguson took in the
Silver High Jump and Jayne Nisbet Bronze in the U20 Championships
March 2006Freya is selected to the GB team for the World Cross Country Championships, in Fukuoka Japan on the 1st and 2nd of April
