Three word phrase: WHAT YOU FIND
Using 1 = A to 26 = Z, the 26 clues defined a coding scheme based on their
"displaced" definitions. To decode letter A, for instance, clue 1 would be
used. Its definition is found in clue 23, so A decodes to W. Decoding the
11 shaded squares gives the three-word phrase WHAT YOU FIND, which suffered
from missing quotes in the preamble!
