The Nithsdale Flock was formed in 1994 with purchases at the dispersal of the renowed
Laidlawstiel flock owned in partnership with my father who was retiring. Bought at the sale in Lanark was the top
priced ewe at £1,700gns along with seven others. Also purchased to found the Nithsdale flock was the Burnfoot
flock belonging to Brian Sharkland No. 823 with a lot of Laidlawsfiel breeding.
