Finding countries on the Internet can be fun. If you know where to look you can find almost everything that you want to know.

Let's go and find a map of Germany. Visit Atlapedia online. Click on the World Maps icon. You can find a POLITICAL map and a PHYSICAL map.  Bring back a copy of each, either print or copy to your disc.

Most countries have 'official' tourist organisations. The German Tourist Organisation has a VERY interesting site. Let them 'tell' you where Germany is!! There is a 'play it again' button ... come back here one day.

Germany uses the 'metric' system for its weights and measures. This page contains some basic facts about Germany ... metric facts ... hidden away on this page is a 'metric conversion machine' ... see if you can find it and learn how to use it.

You should have a 'political' map and a physical map ... now collect yourself a roadmap.  Click on the 'car' in the left hand corner of the map when it has loaded. Experiment with right click ZOOM .... You print the map by 'right clicking' on it ... then choose PRINT.

Now follow your road map . Go from Berlin to Dresden, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg and then back to Berlin. How far have you travelled altogether 'as the crow flies'. You could use the distance finder a Bali Online to help you.

So ... you have three maps. You have an idea as to where some of the main cities are and the distance between them.  You know emergency numbers, what times the banks close and things like that ... all useful.
