There are always 'missing bits' in the story when you read a 'nursery rhyme'.

It's fun trying to fill in these missing bits and to try and explain why people behave as they do.

Click on the King !!

These Blackbirds annoy me.

Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye;
Four and twenty blackbirds
Baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened,
They all began to sing.
Now, wasn't that a dainty dish
To set before the King?
The King was in his countinghouse,
Counting out his money;
The Queen was in the parlor
Eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden,
Hanging out the clothes.
Along there came a big black bird
And pecked off her nose!
