The  English  Parliament  Movement

believes   in   democracy   and   fair representation for England. Our aim is to establish  an  honest  and  democratic parliament for England. Our immediate objective  is  to  stop  the  planned fragmentation of England into regions, currently proposed by both this government and the European Union.

England, no less than Scotland and Wales, is a Nation, and deserves to be treated as such. England with its long history as an independent nation should not be split into regions without its citizens being offered any other choice. If there are to be far reaching constitutional changes, then the people of England should decide them. England is a Nation; it deserves and needs its own parliament.

An English Parliament will not only redress the present inequities flowing from the last phase of devolution. It will provide an opportunity for strengthening democratic control and make government accountable to the people of England.

An English Parliament will create a more structured balance within the Union, giving all countries fair and democratic political representation.

The Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly have built upon the sense of national identity within the countries they serve. The English people cannot be regarded as regional communities within the framework  of the  United  Kingdom, (although  the  European  Union,  the Government and the BBC already describe us as such). England needs its own political institutions to reflect its own national identity; foremost amongst these must be an English Parliament, acting as a symbol of our Nationhood.

We need members and flinding. By supporting  the  English  Parliament Movement  you  will  help  secure  a democratic filture for England. Membership will provide an opportunity to participate in lobbying Westminster, and help to support demonstrations for the cause of England. Your flinding will pay for banners, flags, campaign literature and the expenses of running a national campaign. You can make a difference!

The English Parliament Movement is working towards the achievement of an English Parliament to give you a stake in the democratic ft~ture of our Country. To give you the same benefits of devolution that other Nations within the UK enjoy. We need members and money. By supporting the E.P.M. you will secure a future for England. Your membership would provide an opportunity to participate in the lobbying of M.P.'s and demonstrations for the cause of England.Your money will also go towards banners, flags, literature and other expenses of running a national campaign.
