How can I save/print a list of files?

Please view my Notices page before viewing this area, it is not complete!
This is work in progress.

This is one of the really useful features of DOS, you can redirect the output of most DOS commands, using '>', to either a file or device.
To save a list of files to a file called LIST.TXT you need only type "DIR > LIST.TXT" and hit enter. To print instead of saving use "DIR > PRN".
You can go through all subdirectories if you so wish by using the /s switch.("DIR /s > list.txt" for example)
With MS-DOS7.xx you have available a /b switch witch will list only the filenames and nothing else. See DIR in the DOS Reference area to find more switches which may prove useful.

Trawled this site and still can't find the solution to your problem?
If so I highly recommend The DOS Board.
It has several good techies waiting to answer your questions and I hang around there a lot too.
