Very little is known about the life of William Wallace.  He was probably born in Ayrshire around 1272 and was of low status.  He turned outlaw when his lover and family were
murdered by the English.  Swearing vengeance he quickly gained popular support and was Knighted and proclaimed
Guardian of Scotland after
defeating the English at the
battle of Stirling Bridge.  A year later, he was beaten at Falkirk and spent the next seven years fighting a guerrilla war until his betrayal by the Scottish Nobility.  Taken to London he was hung, drawn and quartered.   Such was the fate of one of Scotland's greatest heroes.

Cast in Pewter, standing over 10" high and just over 2.5Kg in weight this figure captures the character and massive physique of Wallace as described in 'Blind Harry's ' poem.  Standing over 6'7" and wearing mail armour under his gown, a simple helmet, gauntlets and wielding his fearsome two-handed sword, he was more like the English Knights he fought than the kilted Clansmen as portrayed in Hollywood

William Wallace is available at £150 plus postage and package.
