contributes most to the discussions.
Hi!
I’m Jennie (the one with the ginger hair). I’m vegan - which means I don’t eat
dairy products or meat. I’m 16 and doing my GCSE’s this year. My favourite
subjects are History and English, which I’m carrying on next year for my
A-levels. The Youth Group go out to concerts such as the World Wide Message
Tribe and we go on outings to the cinema and bowling. We sponsor a child called
Abedi who lives in Ethiopia and we send money to help pay for his education and
vaccinations against diseases. The Youth Group is run by Yvonne (who is Ric’s
and my Aunty!). We also go to Neil’s (the Minister) sometimes when we usually
work on the computer.
My
favourite films are American Pie, Independence Day, Enemy of the State and The
Matrix. I play the piano and will be taking my Grade 7 this year. I take Music
as a GCSE but will be dropping it after this year being as I don’t like
classical music, which takes up most of the course. My favourite bands are
Eiffel65, ATB, Five, Backstreet Boys, TLC and the Offspring. I love dance music
as I enjoy going to discos and parties.
I go
the Trafford Centre every weekend with my best mate Laura as it’s the best
shopping centre in the world. It’s the bomb!

when I leave school next year I would like to go to college and eventually on
to university to study law. When I am older I would like to be a solicitor.
At
youth group we do lots of interesting things like going to the cinema and
bowling and other things that are just as fun.
One
of my hobbies is dancing, something that I have been doing since I was 2 years
old. I do different kinds of dancing and these are jazz, ballet, tap, modern
and national dance, and many more. Also on a Wednesday I go to Guides at Church
and on Thursday’s I go and help at Brownies, which is very interesting.
My
favourite place to visit on the web is www.backstreetboys.com
and my favourite
place that I would most like to visit is going to America or Hawaii. I also
like David Beckham because I think that he can play football and I also like
his hair cut and the team he plays for - which is Manchester United they are
very good.
My name is Richard Mien. I’m 13 years old. I am in year 8 at
Hulme Grammar School.

My favourite pop bands/artists are Britney Spears, S Club 7, and
much more.
My favourite foods are: beans, chips, pizza, hot dogs, doughnuts
and chocolate fudge cake.

When I’m older I want to be a football referee, a football
manager, and I’d love to be a football player but I’m not very good.
My favourite computer games are ultimate soccer manager 98,
unreal tournament, fifa 98, world rally championship and more.

We go to
Blackpool nearly every weekend shopping and sometimes to the Pleasure Beach.
At Church I
go to Guides and Youth Group. At Youth Group we go to Yvonne’s house on Sundays
to cook and play games and chat.
I like to
read. My best book is ‘Zillah and May’. I play on the computer a lot, especially
on Rattlerace.
My best
films are ‘3 Men and a little lady’ and ‘Claria’s heart’. My favourite actor is
Whoopi Goldberg.
Some of my
family live in Ireland so sometimes I go there on holiday. I would most like to
go on holiday to Hawai.
When I’m older
I would like to be a midwife because I love babies!
I’m Yvonne and I’m the Youth Group leader. I organise activities for the Youth Group to do each Sunday Evening and also lead their class when they go out of Church on Sunday mornings. We discuss issues such as equality, sharing, modern christian life and we talk about bible stories and relate them to our lives.

The Youth Groups opinion of
Yvonne:-
“Good-natured and tolerant -
although lacking a sense of humour (!) but generally puts up with our loud
mouths and arguments!”
