Following on from the success of previous years our Festive Menu will
be available from Monday 7th December 2009 until Sunday 3rd January
2010 subject to booking at least 24 hours in advance. This year we have
tweaked the menu, changing one main course dish. Apart from the
Cheese and Biscuits option as a separate dish, prices remain
unchanged from last year. Please note that the restaurant will be
closed on Boxing Day, Saturday 26th December 2009. Also, between
Thursday 24th December 2009 and Saturday 2nd January 2010 the
restaurant will only open if we have advance bookings.
On Christmas Eve (Thursday 24th December), Christmas Day
(Friday 25th December), New Year's Eve (Thursday 31st December)
and New Year's Day (Friday 1st January) the restaurant will only open
for advance bookings taking the Festive Menu. At other times our
à la carte menu will also be available BUT we are unable
to accept mixed bookings.
A deposit of £5 per head is required for all bookings except for
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day when
a deposit of £10 per head is required. Pre-paid deposits will be
deducted per head from the actual bill.
On Christmas Day we take a single lunchtime sitting with diners coming
in between 12 noon and 3pm. Past experience has shown that most diners
have planned to enjoy a leisurely meal over a 3/4 hour period spending
the afternoon with us. If required we can serve our full Christmas Day
Menu in just over two hours (or as fast as you can eat it, if pre-ordered).
So, if you are on a tight time schedule please let a member of staff know,
preferably at the time of booking.
Please note that as December progresses the selection of dishes
available from our à la carte menu will reduce. The same will
apply in reverse in January.
