 Restaurant, Manchester

StreetSmart funds a range of homeless charities - some provide shelter and food, while others focus on long term needs, such as job training and counselling.
Bloomberg support StreetSmart and cover all their production and administration costs ensuring that every penny donated to the charity goes to helping the homeless.
Forward is the publishing company where StreetSmart is based.
The Manchester Evening News provides a supportive role as StreetSmart's media partner.

A voluntary £1 contribution is added to each table's bill for the benefit of StreetSmart. Any diner not wishing to contribute or who would like to donate more should just say so. Each annual campaign normally runs from November until January. However, the Greenhouse is a very small restaurant and sometimes, particularly during the festive season, a full restaurant is covered by just one or two bills, so following on from the favourable comments made by many of our diners and in part to alleviate our mild embarrassment at the modest size of our initial contribution, we have arranged with StreetSmart to continue on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

During the last campaign period (our first) we raised £225 towards Greater Manchester's total of £7,140. Obviously our contribution towards future campaigns will be considerably greater. All money raised in Manchester stays in Manchester and was distributed as follows:
