Martin Gibson

'Action' in action

Here we see Martin risking life and limb in the pursuit of the advancement of science during field work in the Pyrenees earlier this year. The viewer is unlikely to appreciate the full procarity (pertaining to extreme danger) of the situation witnessed here, with a vertical drop of around 60m one step backward.

Martin came to UCL after a couple of years with the OU. Though interested in all aspects of Geological Sciences, his main emphasis is principally sedimentary rocks and structures. Along with UCL studies he has also become increasingly interested in Palaeoanthropology. He can also claim to have restored several aging rusting sports cars, just to maintain the interest in things ancient.
