One of the 3 winter training runs. A bit less of a straight out and back run than the Mickle Trafford one and lot less of a circular route than the Ince & Elton run.

The Route

Out of the club gates and turning left along the main road through Helsby Village. We carry on past the High School and follow the A56 out into the country. (Passing Godscroft Lane just after the School is 2 miles dead from the Club House and constitutes the turnabout point in our Christmas Handicap Event). After another mile the road drops down and passing under the railway bridge enters Frodsham's Main Street. Taking care in crossing the road we turn right up Fountain Lane (just be the Spar shop), and follow this up as it turns into a footpath heading over Church Green and past St Lawrences Parish Church. Hitting the road again (Howey Lane) by the church we take another right turn by the Ring'O'Bells pub along Bellemonte Road, followed shortly by a left turn just after the Bulls Head onto Hillside Road. At the end of Hillside we turn left onto the Kingsley Road and head back down to Frodsham, bearing right into Fluin Lane and thence past the community centre. At the bottom we rejoin the A56 and turn left. From here it's a straight 4 miles back through Frodsham Main Street and along the A56 all the way back to the Club House.
