I’m Special
I’m special because God has loved me,for He gave the best thing that He had to save me:
His own Son Jesus, crucified to take the blame,
for all the bad things I have done.
Thank You Jesus, thank You Lord,
for loving me so much;
I know I don’t deserve anything,
help me feel Your love right now,
to know deep in my heart
that I’m Your special friend.
During the recent visit to India this song was much in the minds of the visitors.
As they talked and worked with the destitute and mentally deranged women in Pastor Sam’s Refuge;
played with the little 4-year old who had just received his second heart operation;
prayed with a young patient in the busy hospital whose treatment had been delayed;
and listened to the mother who just wanted comfort and help for her ailing husband;
the words of this song just seemed to express all we could leave with them:
‘Help me feel right now, to know deep in my heart that I’m Your special friend.’
