Bible School

The good old Welsh tradition of Sunday School has arrived in Zambia - Bible students from Luansobe are sitting examinations set by people in Newport!

The explanation comes from the Newport and District Christian Education Council, which used to be the old Sunday School Union. For many years, all Sunday Schools in this country used to take part in their examinations, until it was decided to modernise the scheme into a series of project books and workbooks.

However, people in the Newport area still like the old way, so an exam. paper is still produced. When the Zambians found out, they asked to try it - so the people in the church in Luansobe are taking an exam which was set in Newport, and which will be marked in Newport!
