Fishing

Have you ever wanted to try Beach Casting from one of the many beautiful clean beaches on the Island?.. Well now you can. In an exclusive deal with Scotties, one of the Islands leading Tackle shops, we can offer you rental of Rods &Tackle, a Permit if required, a suitable Bait, advice and transport to a venue, and even some instruction to set you up for a few hours relaxing fishing! (One of us has been known to spend more than a few nights per week fishing.. And he usually has a bit of room in his car!!) If you are a beginner or expert angler, we can help you enhance your holiday with local knowledge from local anglers.. We may not be able to guarantee a catch for the table, but we can guarantee a day or night you will not forget! Night fishing from some of our beaches can include the arrival of one of the many friendly Foxes who often wander up to fishermen for any titbits you may have and will sit watching you for hours, whilst you sit and watch them!!! (Be warned though.. They also love fresh bait, and have even been known to 'nick' a fresh caught fish or two!.. It is an unforgettable experience (Although chasing after them trying to retake a stolen fish is VERY exhausting!!)

PLEASE NOTE!!! If you wish to fish alone.... Some of our beaches can become flooded at high tide.. NEVER set off without telling someone exactly where you are going, and seek expert advice for safe areas.

Don't Fancy Beach Casting???

As an alternative, we can also offer you some of the best sea fishing available on the Island.. We have a special arrangement with both 'Scotties' and a Charter boat Captain who can offer you expert guidance and a days fishing in the 'hottest' venues available during your stay.. With prices from £25.00 per head, we will not be beaten! As with all our services, we ensure that the companies we use are genuine, registered and expert at their chosen field. We ALWAYS rely upon both references and personal inspection to ensure that you receive the best service available on the Island! we also have fresh water facilities on the Island in either private lakes or on the river bank.

 

Horse Riding

Once again. whether beginner or expert we can organise some Horse riding lessons or just the rental of a horse, with one of the Islands best riding Centres.. If you want to wander the country lanes by yourselves, or have a laugh with the family and try your hand at Horse riding we can organise everything before you even arrive. Helmets will be provided but you will need to bring your own clothing and sensible footwear, not to mention the Radox and Deep Heat for beginners!!! (Trust me.. some bits will be sore afterwards!)

Cycling

This is VERY popular on the Island, as can be witnessed by the huge traffic jams following a happy family out and about on the Island roads during the Summer! It is great fun and even if you haven't tried riding a bike for many years, its a wonderful way to see the Island.. We can pre-book a selection of cycles from the Islands leading Bicycle hire shop.. .. But we can't guarantee to pick you up when you run out of steam half way round the Island! Easy does it for the first day or so!

Water Sports

Ever wanted to try Water Skiing?, Sailing?, Canoeing?.. What better time to learn than when you are on Holiday? We can organise lessons for all these activities.. (Might be a good idea if you learn to swim first though... AND we can organise this as well!!)

Ice Skating

Go on! give the kids a laugh, take them Skating for a few hours! We can organise lessons with a qualified instructor, or just a few hours slipping and sliding on the ice! ..AND the Ice rink in Ryde is only 30 minutes from the Casualty department!...
