I get e-mails from many different places either about Limavady, or from people who
do research into their family name, so I thought an introduction might be useful.
I was born in 1943 in Germany and grew up in Werdohl. This is a town in the Sauerland, part of Westfalia. Lueg is a rare name in Germany, but the Sauerland is crawling with them - allegedly. I came to Northern Ireland over forty years ago, fell in love with the place and my very own Peg of Limavady and have been living here happily ever since. I used to teach, but now I am retired. We live on a mountain in a little house with a nice view. Oh yes, I like Border Collies and lately cows, do some astronomy and have developed a strong interest in local history unless I listen to music, particularly Bruckner and Beethoven - if it isn't a Strauss or Wagner.
