Why Bernadette, why ?

Because I love the feel of books, browsing their contents, gleening their life from the back cover, feeling their weight and the quality of the paper they are printed on or the design of their cover, their fonts, their illustrations, their layout. Not all of these things can be enjoyed online, but the aim of the Library is to give you the feeling that you are browing in a well-stocked library or bookshop, to give you a flavour of the smell of books. There are no story summaries, little additonal information, but hopefully a flavour for the great and sometimes obscure works of literature sometimes found therein.
