Thank you for your interest in locating instructors in your
area who are qualified to teach Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do.
The Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Nucleus has finalized what it
considers to be the essential " core requirements" (or
elements) that constitute a fundamental knowledge of Bruce Lee's
art, science, philosophy, and history. These elements constitute
the basic requirements to qualify as an instructor of Jun Fan Jeet
Kune Do and to receive certification from an actively-teaching
member of the Nucleus.

If you request of the above instructors, several options may be
available to you:
- They may be available to teach seminars in your area;
- They may be available for private lessons in your location
or theirs;
- You may be able to take classes at their location;
- They may inform you of regional Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do
seminars held in your area.
If the above sources do not prove fruitful, we would recommend
that you begin your martial arts education by seeking instruction
in a martial art from a school or instructor in your local area.
The page Selecting a Teacher and A Method of Martial Art, has some
comments that Bruce Lee made regarding how to recognize not only a
good instructor, but also a practical and efficient system of
martial art. While you are in the process of learning basic skills
and conditioning, instructors of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do may become
available in your area.
We hope that you are aware that we do not act in the
traditional capacity of a martial arts "school," in that
we do not bestow rank, certification or hierarchical structure.
Certification to teach Jeet Kune Do or Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do is a
privilege granted to an individual by his instructor. The Nucleus
simply adds that person's name to our list of those qualified to
teach for the purpose of those such as you who are inquiring.
Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do is an educational foundation that has been
set up primarily for people who wish to expand their knowledge of
Bruce Lee's art, science and philosophy to the fullest possible
extent. Our function is simply to provide information about Bruce
Lee, and his outstanding contributions to the realms of martial
art, philosophy, teaching, health and fitness.
Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do publishes a quarterly newsletter which
contains authentic writings of Bruce Lee, access to Bruce Lee's
research, original photographs, interviews with students and
friends of Bruce Lee, cutting edge conditioning, historical
insights, motivational techniques and inspirational thoughts. The
newsletter is available to members only. If you are interested, a
membership application can be found on the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do
Information Network web site or obtained by writing to the Jun Fan
Jeet Kune Do organization. In addition, a list of suggested
resource material is available on the web site or by writing the
Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do organization.
We hope this information answers your questions and we look
forward to your taking "the next step" in Jun Fan Jeet
Kune Do. Please feel free to contact us should you have any
further questions regarding Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do.
In the Spirit of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do,
The Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Nucleus
