The Beginning

The company started out with two brothers, one who is now the father of the present manager, getting hold of an old tape recorder. They made some voice recording and short plays and so impressed their father so much that he went out and bought a video-recorder for them, even though it cost a lot of money. They then made and filmed short scenes around the farm where they lived and after showing them to small audiences, one wealthy man (named Sir Brickworth Cunningham) recommended a life in film making to them. So in 1913 they formed a film company and in 1915 got hold of the camera seen in the picture of the left.
The Filming

In 1918, the company was starting to grow and so they acquired the building seen on the left here (it is now used as the stunt rehearsal centre). Then in 1919 they were asked to produce their first film. In order for it to be a success, they immediately bought two more cameras, lighting equipment and employed 14 staff. The film (named 'Johnny Thunder') was an instant success and quickly raised the companies profile. In the next 10 years they produced 6 more films, with 5 of them racking in large profits.
The Future

The company continued steadily up until the 1960's. But then after a sudden financial breakdown, the company looked set to be on the way out. But Jonathan Stud, a film director, liked the company so much that he funded it so that it could continue, in return for a large amount of shares. The company then came back with a bang with 'Destiny' (1974), their biggest and most profitable film ever produced. Since then, 20-30 more films ranging from 5 minute sequences to hour long big-budgets have been made. In 1999, the company reached the 150 employee mark. The site was 3 acres large and had 17 buildings, 2 exterior filming sets (see left) and 1 large park.
