Statue of Chief Sitting Bull
One seriously cool model! This is apparently made of
1.4 million bricks, and took over 2 years to build by its
sculptor, Bjorn Ricter. The detail on the face is absolutely
amazing, the curves look really accurate. One minor complaint
- the detail on the rest of the body is a little poorer
- but still really good.
You can find it above the Mine Train in LEGOREDO.

Mount Rushmore Heads
The four heads of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,
Theodore Roosevolt and Abraham Lincoln are built into a
rock face near LEGOREDO.
A similar construction is being built for
Legoland California, but that one is slightly more sophisticated,
with blinking eyes and technic men cleaning Washington's
ear with a giant cotton bud!

The Big Brown Mountain Bear!
You can find this model as a part of the LEGO Canoe
ride in LEGOREDO. It's a great model, but they must of had
to use an awfully large number of brown bricks to build
it.
Once again, I find it a shame that only those
who go on this ride actually get to see the model.

Dragon in the Moat
This dragon lurks around in Castleland, more specifically,
in the moat next to the bridge.
It features smoke and (I think) noises. It is quite similar
to the crocodiles in the moat at Windsor. I wonder where
they got all of those green bricks from.

Adventurers Band
The Adventurers Band play, when they feel like it,
near the reastaurant in Adventure Land. The models of these
Spanish / Mexican style people are really cool, and they
move with the help of animatronics.
Check out those stylish hats!

Safari Elephant
There are loads of great models on the safari, but
the elephant deserves a particular mention. The realistic
curves and fantastically life-like design of the elephant
makes it one of my favourite models in the park.
This is also one of the largest which is standing on the
ground.

The White House
This absolutely fantastic model of the USA's White
House is to be found on the Family Boat Ride which, thankfully,
everybody can go on, so everbody can see it. All the windows
and lamps are detailed really well.
It seems to me that many models at California are just
copies of those at Billund, upgraded a bit. Both this model
and the Presidents' heads come under this catagory.
Apologies for the odd colour, really, it's white.

The Wat Phra Keo Temple in Bangkok
This temple supposidly houses the Emerald Buddha,
a famous Buddhist treasure had of jade, with robes changed
annually by the Thai King.
In Legoland, you can find it built of 340,000 bricks as
an attraction on the Family Boat Ride. This absolutely stunning
model is impossible to miss, and is a great source of inspiration.
The Boat trip would be worth it if this was the only model
to be seen!

Unknown Name...
This is a great model, but it don't really know
what it is. To me, it looks like some sort of lost temple
from one of the Indiana movies, but that's about the best
I can manage.
This, however, doesn't stop it from being a great model.

| There are loads of
other great models in the park, and their main reason for
exclusion is the fact that I have no picture of them! |
