Shows, Shops and Restaurants
- Although I didn't manage to visit all of these in two days,
here is some information on those that I did visit.
|
Outpost Grill
This restaurant is basically a 'slightly' smarter Burger
King, outdoors, in a rickety old building. Unless you have
to, don't bother eating here. The food's not bad, you can
get some kebabs and things, but for a decent meal you should
go elsewhere.
This restaurant would be fine for something
like a mid-day snack-meal.

Adventurers' Depot
A great, great shop, even better if you like the Adventurers.
You can pick up a ton of unique items, this mannequin shown
on the right demonstrates the type of items, foam sword,
leg strap, wallet, backpack and bandanna. You can also get
torches, key-rings and the rest.
The shop also stocks the full range of Adventurers'
models, including those from the original Jungle series
and Desert series.
Do not miss this shop, whatever happens.

Dragon Photo
This shop sells you photos, at rip-off prices, of you
on the roller-coaster. A far better idea, which would save
you money, would be to do what we did, and photograph your
own picture, like this on the right.
It also means that you get as many copies
as you need.

Mini Castle
The equivalent of the stunt show at Windsor, or is it?
Unlike Windsor, this show is actually funny, great for all
ages, includes some genuinely good stunts and no slapstick
comedy. Actually, it's amazing.
For example, at the start, the servant suspended
himself by his feet from the diving board to wash the bottom
of it. Another thing was that the whole play was done without
any speech at all, which not only meant that everybody could
understand it, but that there was no "I can't hear
youuuuu....." type entertainment.
It might have changed since I was there, but
the Castle show was definitely the best show there.

The Merchant
This little shop is great for picking up discontinued
sets in the Castle series. I got a Hubble Bubble flying
cauldron from the Count Batlord series.

Lego Gold Mine
This little Gold Mine where you can get a memorabilia
coin in exchange for searching for Pyrites Gold in the water
with sieves.
I didn't get a go here, as it was raining
when we visited Legoredo, but from experience at Windsor,
I can tell you that you should do it once, and once only.
Otherwise you end up with a bedroom full of gold plastic
coins.

Playing Eagle / Baking Bread
Try to get to bake bread here, as the end result is
really tasty. The Chief, Chief Playing Eagle, also seemed
happy to have a chat with us. ("My rain dance worked
too well" he said, when we were there in the rain).
Don't bother getting a hat and feather, but
if you must do, certainly don't wear it around the park.
They are far too old fashioned.

And the rest...
There are still some shops, shows and restraunts
that I saw which are not mentioned here:
Imagination Theatre - The Life on Mars show
here was pretty naff, and certainly not worth a visit.
Legoredo Shops - Some good shops around here,
selling discontinued Western sets.
Pirate Shop - A good little shop, with the
standard array of Pirate accessories.
