White Fillings
Are usually placed at the front of the mouth. Look better than amalgam fillings. Are usually not available on the back teeth on the NHS.
White fillings can be placed directly in the mouth, or made by a laboratory. The latter is much stronger, but needs at least two appointments, and is more expensive
Gold Fillings
Are very strong fillings. Are made by a laboratory and need at least two appointments. Are occasionally available on the NHS
Ceramic Fillings
Are very strong fillings. Are made by a laboratory and need at least two appointments. Are very aesthetic and hard wearing. Only available on Private basis.
