SNOWFLAKE
Using "The"
You need the definite article in front of some titles:

"We're off to visit the Ashmolean Museum"
"Let's go for a drink at the Lamb and Flag!"
"Let's all go down the Strand!"
"He studied at the University of Oxford"

...but not others:

"Yesterday we went to Blenheim Palace."
"This afternoon we visited Magdalen College."
[pronounced "mawdlin", by the way]
"He studied at Oxford University."

No helpful rules; just familiarize yourself with different forms!
