Your affiliated club qualifies for seven main benefits:

1. Block booking advance-ticket discounts for MAG Premier Events.
2. Access to MAG’s Public Liability Insurance scheme when running your own club events.
3. Free listings for your events in MAG superb newspaper StreetBiker, circulation average 30,000 copies per issue.
4. Discounted advertising rates for display ads in StreetBiker.
5. Discounted joining rates for your members who choose to upgrade to Full MAG Membership. (See below for the additional benefits granted to full members.)
6. Representation on the MAG National Committee and voting entitlement at MAG’s Annual Group Conference on the basis of one voting membership per each 1000 members affiliated or part thereof up to a maximum of 4 per club. Your club may nominate the persons to whom these are allocated.
7. Regular briefings via MAG’s monthly bulletin ‘Network’ so you know what’s happening in MAG and what campaigns we are involved in.

In addition of course, your club becomes a part of the great international motorcycling community that is fighting hard to preserve the rights and freedoms enjoyed by motorcyclists, and to stop the unwanted and unwarranted interference of politicians and bureaucrats in our way of life.

The following benefits are additionally granted to full MAG members who pay £16 per annum for individual membership or £24 for joint membership. Additionally, your own club members will have the option of upgrading to full MAG membership at a discounted price of £14 for individual membership or £21 for joint memberships.

1. MAG Protected. This is the name given to the MAG Anti-Theft Reward Scheme. If any MAG member’s bike is stolen that member is entitled to offer a reward of up to £500 for information leading to the return of the bike and the conviction of those responsible. MAG, not the member, will cover payment of any reward claim that results subject to the full terms and conditions of the scheme that are available on request.
2. Enhanced discounts on event admission prices. Full members get an increased level of discount for pre-booked event tickets. In addition a wider range of events offer discounts to full members.
3. Dealer discounts at hundreds of retail outlets on production of a full MAG Membership card.
4. Access to great deals on bike and car insurance via MAG Insurance Services, MAG’s own insurance brokerage.
5. Full voting rights.
6. Personal copy of StreetBiker posted individually to every member bi-monthly.
7. Discounted access to MAG’s Rescue breakdown / recovery schemes.
8. Discounted holiday travel insurance and motorcycle tour packages worldwide.
9. Eligibility for payments under the MAG Members Benevolent Scheme.
10. MAG’s own credit card and member loans scheme.

These are the main benefits but many others are also available exclusively to full members, including discounts on hotels, and vehicle purchase and leasing.

Affiliation fees for the year 2000

Terms and Conditions

1. All affiliations run from 1^st January to 31^st December with renewal fees payable by the 31^st January each year. Alternatively clubs may pay fees monthly in twelve equal instalments by standing order.
2. Each affiliated club will receive a block of date-printed membership cards equal in number to the number of members for which an affiliation fee has been paid.
3. For the year 2000 clubs will pay a reduced fee to take their affiliation through to 1^st January 2001. A club whose affiliation falls due for renewal on 1^st July for example will pay one half on the annual fee in the scale below;
4. Subject to any proportionate reduction as provided for by condition 3 above, clubs of less than 50 members pay a flat £50 per annum affiliation fee.
