Summary of cover
Just one call - free. Lets say you've just broken down.
Find a 'phone - private or public - and use our special number to
call us free of charge. You don't have to worry about having any
loose change. At any time of the day or night we will be waiting
for your call.
Your call will be answered by one of our friendly and highly trained operators. They'll use our fast computer system to locate our nearest suitable agent and the agent will soon be on his way to help you. We'll make sure that the agent we send will have the correct equipment to deal with your particular problem.
The combination of our team of experienced controllers and our 1,700 carefully selected garage agents means that we can give you first class service throughout the whole of the UK, 24 hours a day.
Roadside
Assistance and Recovery Covered.
Most of our competitors charge you extra if you want to cover
yourself for recovery charges. At Eastgate Rescue, recovery costs
are automatically included, so every single member is covered for
roadside and recovery to his or her destination.

Roadside
Assistance.
If you have a minor mechinacal breakdown, our
garage agent will try to get you going again at the roadside.
Perhaps all thet is wrong is a small electrical fault, or a
puncture. If so you will soon be on your way. All you have to pay
for are the parts or materials used.
Recovery.
For more serious problems our agent will transport your
motorcycle to a local garage which is capable of carrying out the
repairs within a reasonable time. If that involves an overnight
stay we'll arrange for you to stay at a local hotel and we'll pay
the the accommodation charges for you and your passengers - up to
three people in all. Or, if you wish, we'll pay for you all to
travel to your original destination by public transport or hire
car. We'll even pay for one person to return to collect the
motorcycle after repairs.
If there is no garage near the scene of the breakdown cpable of repairing the motorcycle within a reasonable time - say 24 hours - then we'll arrange to transport your motorcycle and up to three people to your home or original destination. We aim to give you the service you want - whenever you need it. So we don't stick to hard and fast rules and our operators use their experience and training to come up with the best solution to your particular problem.

Service.
Being stuck outside your own home on a motorcycle that refuses to
move is an annoying experience - but thanks to Home Service help
is at hand.
Your roadside assistance cover extends to include problems occuring within one mile of your home.
Motor Technical Helpline.
With the motorcycle playing such a significant role in your life, any problems associated with it can cause great concern. To provide assistance we have set up the Technical Advice Helpline.
This helpline runs during office hours to provide various technocal information to members in relation to their motorcycles. This can include such areas as Consumer Affairs, Fuel Service, MOT Legislation, Engine or electrical problems and any other technical problem involving the motorcycle..
Legal Helpline.
Our legal helpline operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and
is staffed by our in-house lawyers who are chosen for their
ability to explain complex legal issues in plain English and in a
friendly and helpfull way. Members are able to contact the legal
helpline to discuss any private legal matter that mey be of
concern and there is no limit to the number of calls a member can
make.
Personal Injury Persuit.
If you are involved in an accident that is not your fault you may
be able to claim damages from the person who caused the accident,
but you will need professional help and assistance. Under this
section, cover is available to persue a claim to recover these
amounts.
Extra Features
Recovery Following Theft.
If your motorcycle has been immobilised after theft or vandalism
we will recover it for you free of charge.
Mugging, Sickness, Personal
Attack.
If, as the sole rider, you can no longer continue your journey
because of sickness, injury or shock then we will pay for you to
travel home by taxi, train or coach and we will pay for someone
to return to collect your motorcycle.
Important Information
This contract is governed by English law.
The maximum that will be paid is £25,000 for each named insured per year.
Eastgate Rescue will only be provided for registered motorcycles, Notify any change in motorcycles without delay to avoid cover lapsing.
Motorcycles must be maintained in a roadworthy condition and serviced regularly.
The following types of vehicle are not eligable for membership:
- Motorcycles used for self-drive hire.
- Motorcycles used for private hire/as a taxi.
We do not cover motorcycles while they are being used for rallying or any other competitive purpose.
Hotel costs are limited to £200 per breakdown or accident.
For faults which occur repeatedly, we may refuse to provide assistance if you have not taken reasonable steps to have them rectified.
We do not pay ferry and toll fees.
Motorcycles must be readily accessible and be capable of recivery using standard equipment.
You must telephone us and obtain a reference number before incurring any costs.

containing full details of the terms, conditions and exclusions
