I think Jack got to be a fairly senior mine worker - a pit deputy or similar.

In 1908, Jack lived at 4 St. John Street, Denaby Main.
In 1925, Jack and his family lived at 85 Weldon Road, Castleford.
In December 1932, they had just moved to a new bungalow at 103 Airedale Road, Glasshoughton, Castleford, West Yorkshire.

Both sons served in the forces during World War II. Jack Joe died. Harry was in the Air Force.
