Criffel Cottage lies on the seward side of Allonby. From the attic windows you see there's nothing between you and the hills of Dumfries and Galloway, standing majestic over the Solway Firth.

Allonby has the best of both worlds - idyllic summer days with the flower covered sward grazed by ponies, crisp winter morning to walk along the beach and look in the rock pools or wild weather blown in from Ireland to get rid of the cobwebs.

Criffel Cottage dates from the 1600s and the original beams feature in the rooms which have been completely modernised to let you have the best combination of the old and the new.
