High on the moors above Arkengarthdale is the location for an old lead-miner's house.
Since used as a hay barn for near to a century, Stang House is now the overnight destination for some of our expedition work.![]()
After a day's tramping on the moors, or mountain-biking on the extensive bridleway network, Stang House is ideally suited for very basic overnight stops. A sound roof, clean floors and a fireplace are the ingredients to provide a close group encounter, shared space, shared chores, and shared fireside ambience.
We feel this is an excellent additional resource in our attempts to focus our work around the relationships of the young people coming to Marrick Priory.
