How did it feel
When you fell into sleep?
You drowned in a dream
In the water so deep.
As you climb into the land of your dreams,
You’ll find out the world is not what it seems:
The purple and yellow that float in the air
Are the colours of doom, the clouds of despair.
You said you were happy when you were awake:
“I feel wonderful”, you said,
Oh! What a mistake,
And now in your dreams you are starting to shake
With dread,
You are certainly not wonderful within your head!
You dream of a monster so grisly and sick,
Who chases you all night
And though you run quick
The monster is faster.
As he eats you alive, he is filled with laughter.
Your blood gushes out,
And the monster starts to drink.
“Am I dreaming?” you desperately think.
The answer is no, for as you awake,
You find you’re a vampire impaled with a stake.
