| Axleboxes |
|
B4 oil wagon axlebox without spring. The flat faced oil wagon axlebox was used in a variety of journal sizes the smallest, 8 x 3 3/4", being the the B4. The B4 axle box was used on wagons and vans from 1918 although the large journal versions were first seen in 1912. The LMS standard B5 oil axlebox was very similar, being based on the LYR design with the LYR replaced by LMS! Our axle box is a white metal casting without spring and is supplied in packets of 12. |

| Buffers |
|
The standard LYR wagon and van buffer was a three bolt type and was used on a wide variety of wagon and van rolling stock. The buffer is supplied as a white metal casting with steel head inserts. Supplied in sets of four. May be supplied in 'bulk quantity' to special order. |

Carriage buffer used on semi-elliptical and other carriages. Brass with integral machined slot to stop heads turning. Supplied with 13" steel heads, springs and etched oval heads. Supplied in sets of four. Requires steel head to be filed flat and soldered to recess in etched plate. May be supplied in 'bulk quantity' to special order. |

| Brake levers and guides |
|
Etched brake levers and guides suitable for 9-10' wheel base wagons. Suitable for single side or 'levers same end' type brake gear. Sufficient for five wagons. |

| Carriage roof detail |
|
The majority of LYR carriages were gas lit from new. This lamp represents the larger gas lamp as used on the earlier semi elliptical carriages. White metal supplied in packs of 20. |

Double acting vacuum cylinders present centrally on carriages were used on all bogie carriage stock. White metal supplied in packs of two. |

The majority of LYR carriages were gas lit from new and a conversion program to electric lighting was not really underway until after the Great War. Indeed many carriages remained gas lit until the end of their working lives. Each carriage (except dining cars) were fitted with two gas tanks, generally, but not always, either side of the centre line centrally positioned. White metal supplied in packs of two. |

| Miscellaneous |
|
This handy locomotive jack was issued to all LYR locomotives excluding
the large passenger locomotives (4-4-0, 4-6-0, 4-4-2) until the early
LMS period. At least one driver had two. Similar jacks were used on
a variety of narrow gauge and industrial locomotives. |

Our locomotive detailing fret includes small hand wheels, 2-3mm outer diameter and gauge dials 1-1.5mm diameter. Ideal for back plates, smoke box door wheels etc. Etched brass fret: includes up to 13 pairs at 3mm and 10 pairs at 2mm diameter with gauge dials/discs at 1-1.5mm diameter. |
