
Occupational Health and Safety is founded upon the following fundamental principles:
- That health and safety needs to be managed for legal reasons - involving
both criminal and civil law.
- That health and safety needs to be managed in the economic interests of
the various parties.
- That the responsibility to manage health and safety primarily derives from
the moral duties placed upon all the members of a society and group towards
each other. Only people are influenced in this way, not organisations which
are merely legal entities and do not "exist" as such.
