All of Manara's women look like models with their pouting lips, long hair and catwalk legs and attitude. Very different from Serpieri's Druuna. His drawing style is elegant, honed in the sex comics he produced down the years. 

The comics he does with a sex theme are pretty repetitive, even down to the number of volumes devoted to a particular subject, such as Click.

There are also volumes devoted to the art of spanking and the Kama Sutra.

His more conventional story are fairly predictable. There is Indian Summer (done with Hugo Pratt) - pretty girls meet Fenimore Cooper, El Gaucho (also done with Hugo Pratt) - pretty girls meet the British navy and a Trip to Tulum - a reworking of a Fellini script with more pretty girls. Gullivera - a reworking of the 18th century classic with a pretty girl - is perhaps the most charming.

But whatever the comic the look is the same. If you like it you like it. Judge for yourself..
