Descendants of William Rowbotham born about 1684

1   William(1) Rowbotham born about 1684, died March 3rd 1772 aged 88 years and buried at Prestbury. The  
     family farm house/Inn (referred to in John(1) will of 1802 as Mottrams Tenement) in Henbury near 
     Macclesfield, Cheshire, is still standing and now called The Cock Inn. It was home to my family from abt.1724,
     when William(1) took up residence, upto around 1816 when grandson John(2) sold up .
     William was selling land in Henbury in 1714, his details on the deed of sale being yeoman and of Henbury.

          Bondsman to licence was Henry Rowbotham of Hurdsfield and William Oldham of Macclesfield
.......+Sarah Low (Possibly 3rd wife) of Hurdsfield, married at Alderley 20th Oct 1720. born about 1694, died April 1st 1777
          aged 83 years and buried at Prestbury,  married by special licence.

......... 2   John(1) Rowbotham d: 1803. As well as inheriting the farm/Inn mentioned above, John also procurred the
                farm next to it, the house still standing now called 'The Firs' (this being referred to as Hardings Tenement
                in John(1) will of 1802). It would appear that John was married at least 3 times, William(2) being from the
                first marriage (details unknown). John bequeathed the farm known as Hardings Tenement in 1802 and
                some land to sons William(2) and the farmhouse/Inn known known as Mottrams Tenement together with 
                the larger part of the lands to John(2) possibly from his 2nd marriage. About 1816 John(2) had been
                forced to sell up and move.
