Newtown is a part of St Helens Merseyside, or Lancs as it was when Newtown was built at the end of the nineteenth century. It consists mainly of terraced houses but there are some semi-detached houses. Newtown is the area enclosed by Boundary Road, Horace Street, Rivington Road and Knowsley Road as I understand but I am open to correction on this point. The purpose of this website is to show Newtown and its residents since it was built over a hundred years ago. As you can see from the other pages there are only a few pictures as yet but with the help of anyone reading these pages who has any old pictures of the area and its residents it might be possible to make the site interesting.
