After studying painting at the Central School of Art and Design, London, and obtaining a BA in Fine Art in 1979, I spent much of my time abroad. Munich, Germany, was my home for four years where I exhibited, drew ceramics for the German Archaeological Institute, sang in an Irish band and worked at the Munich Academy of Art under Eduardo Paolozzi. My interest in alternative medicine took me to India, where I spent seven years in an Ayurvedic Medical Centre, working and studying.

I have concentrated on portrait painting since returning to England in 1993. This effort was rewarded by a prize at the B. P. Portrait Awards in 1997 for the portrait of Mr & Mrs Panchal which was shown at the National Portrait Gallery, London.

However, as you see from examples displayed here at this website, my work is by no means ristricted to portraits. I continue to paint and draw on various other themes and also undertake book illustration. The latter is something I have started recently and which I hope to do more of.

My other main interest is music, particularly singing: I perform at gigs in various parts of the country.

Normally, I am based in Shepherds Bush, West London.
