The 2005 Oxford International Women's Festival is taking place from 5 to 19 March. The theme will be "Fabric of Society - Women as Workers and Wearers" and NOW is planning events as part of this.
Proposed activities include an exhibition of women's embroidery from around the world, focusing particularly on South Africa and Palestine. This, together with the Peace Tent, will be displayed at Fusion, off Cowley Road.
NOW is also planning an exhibition of Women in Black peace vigils which take place in many countries and a meeting or exhibition on the theme of women as garment workers.

NOW's contribution to the IWF essentially consists of three events, in chronological order:
1.Sweated Labour: Women Workers in the Garment Trade- exhibition and films in the Museum of Oxford, 1 - 20 March
2. Stitches in Time, exhibition of textiles at Oxfordshire Record Office, 8 - 18 March. Please note that the exhibition has now been extended to April 22.
3. Sweated Labour: Women workers in the garment trade, a one-day forum on Saturday 12 March.
