The Hand
Hotel has always been a  stop for coaches
sitting as it does on the busy A5 en route from London to
Dublin and all routes in between from the Midlands to north
Wales. In modern times, given the hi-tech coaches and faster
roads, coaches travelling up and down the country from the
South and North often make a short detour for a quiet overnight
stay in Llangollen. The large free car park within the hotel
grounds has ample room for a number of coaches at the same
time. Call us and we can talk about making a relaxed and
comfortable break in your journey.

| If you are passing through you can join the increasing
number who call in for Edith’s famous breakfast to
set them up for their journey. Others call by for tea, coffee,
sandwiches, or lunch that can be a specially arranged easily
fitted in “one course” meal. Or for those with
a little more time to spend there are individual choices
from the “special bar menu,” or a bloc booking
can be arranged for mid-day or evening three- course dinner
in our traditional restaurant overlooking the river. |

| With over 100 beds the hotel can easily accommodate passengers
on coach trip for a one-night stay. You can book for bed
and breakfast only, or take advantage of our special arrangements
for restaurant bloc bookings and join us for dinner as well.
You will need to book early in the summer months as we are
very busy then, and you are very welcome to take advantage
of our special winter rates when the hotel can sometimes
be quieter. Call us and we can negotiate a price for that
special service you are looking for to take care of your

| Increasingly coaches are staying for more than one night.
We have coaches staying for as long as one week and travelling
from Holland, Germany, Kiev, Italy and France. Some coaches
are full of American tourists others Australian. Many of
these visitors enjoy their stay so much they return to visit
us later travelling many miles to do so on independent family
visits. These guests along with coaches from England and
Ireland make the sing-along nights in our Bar especially
memorable! Call us to make arrangements and you can rest
