We aim to encourage a profound, meaningful relationship with nature, rather than one based on exploitation. We acquire land for our projects to be held in trust and safeguarded forever".

The remaining 20% is comprised of 83 one acre freehold lots, with 6% owned by the Crystal Waters Community Co-operative. The 83 one acre lots currently support a population of around 200, a third of whom are children.

PERMACULTURE, PHILOSOPY AND PRACTICE - AN OVERVIEW
"In the changing state of the global environment, the earth and its inhabitants stand on the brink of a full-scale ecological, resource and food production crisis. The current western industrial system of large-scale agriculture and consumption needs are becoming impractical given the risks to our ecosystems. We intend to explore the alternative means of agricultural production and modes of human existence known as permaculture. Permaculture could provide a viable solution to the ecological crisis facing humanity. It is our mission to understand and explain this practice and analyse its practicality as an option for world survival"

Our Information and Education Department runs courses on a wide range of organic and related subjects as well as promoting organic gardening, farming and food. Other areas of our work include running a Consultancy service on waste management, research projects, Third World agriculture and garden design. We also aim to spread the organic message far and wide through TV, radio, books, leaflets, newspaper and magazine articles and now the World Wide Web. But that's not all we do.
