ProtectaKote
ProtectaKote is a solvent
based polyurethane, anti-skid coating which bonds to
wood, fiberglass, concrete, rubber and primed metal. It
is a flexible coating which can withstand the movement of
the surface to which it has been properly applied and
will not flake, chip or peel. The aggregate in this one
part coating is recycled rubber. There are two advantages
to using the rubber as an aggregate: the polyurethane
chemically bonds to it and it has a resilient quality
which complements the flexible nature of the polyurethane.
Possible applications are for truck beds, runner boards,
tool box tops, floors of aerial buckets, steps, ramps,
walkways, dock areas, boat decks, etc.
