You may or indeed may not be aware that over the past decade, the SAFF and the PAN have been involved in fighting an ongoing campaign against intolerant fundamentalist pressure to disenfranchise all minority/occultist belief systems.

The SAFF has discredited every accusation of so-called Satanic Abuse that the 'fundies' have thrown at Pagans and other occultist minorities in society. The Media, Government, Police and Social Services et al, still perpetuate the Satanic myth and other lies about Pagan beliefs. Authoritarian seminars are still being held to discuss the topic of Satanic and ritual child abuse. Despite the best efforts of PAN, SAFF and the last government-funded report by Professor Jean La Fontaine on the 'none-existence' of Satanic Abuse, the myth still continues unabated. We urgently need to keep the pressure on the authorities to acknowledge Pagan rights. These freedoms do exist under the UN declaration of Human rights to which this country is a signatory. Unfortunately because of fundie pressure against the occult, these freedoms have been trashed and our research suggests that they will be further eroded as we near the end of this so-called 'DECADE OF EVANGELISM'.

Unfortunately many Pagan leaders/groups have arrogantly refused to assist in our campaign; choosing instead to hide their ignorance/inadequacies by insisting that Pagan anti-defamation is 'not their style, or it's not their problem'. Similar comments were thrown at desperate Jews by the ruling establishment in the last world war, when they asked for someone to listen to their grave concerns about the implantation of Nazi death camps throughout Europe.

If you are a helper in the PAN/SAFF cause then you probably know of closed minded Pagan/New Age/Green-consciousness type organisations that refuse point-blank to unite together with us for the common good. Ask them just 'why' they will not help in the cause, then let us know the reason (if any) that they give to you for their apathetic stance. Any 'go it alone Pagans' that are not part of the network will be unaware of points like: best/worst media contacts; pro/anti occult MPs/Police forces; Social Service offices; active fundie groups in their region etc. etc.

By refusing to work with us the apathetics put, not only themselves at risk, but jeopardise the entire Pagan/New Age community! Every week Pagans are being unjustly accused of heinous deeds by the sensationalist media and authorities. We can of course thank the past centuries of Christian indoctrinated ignorance, or the current prejudice against occultism. The native populace gave away its indigenous Heathen birthright many years ago to the first missionaries. The intolerance continues to this day. Not only Pagans but also all members of what is supposed to be a democratic society are being affected by fundie activity. The Christian indoctrination of our children in the classroom is a disgrace to multi-culturalism The laws that enforce it were implanted by well-respected fundie MPs (Westminster is a hive of evangelical activity). Family based laws that are quickly passed through parliament are usually Xtian based, aimed at eroding occultist rights. Fundie organisations that promote the Satanic myth, monitor all proposals offered at parliament with their offices being placed close by. MPs are targeted by well-financed Evangelical groups to see how they respond to essential freedom of belief topics like: euthanasia; abortion; pornography; new age et al.

These Satan-hunting do-gooders are affecting EVERYONE’S freedoms and their support is growing at an alarming rate. Please don't (like so many thick Pagan leaders) think the fundies are just fanatical idiots. They are well researched; well supported; well educated; (MPs, Doctors, Professors, Scientists etc. etc.) people from ALL walks of life. They just happen to believe that they, and they alone, know what's best for the rest of us. PAN/SAFF research proves without doubt that outlawing all forms of new age/occult/Pagan belief is very high on their agenda, regardless of what silly INTERFAITH BUNNIES will tell you.

We know that there are of course some liberal-minded Xtian clergy who sincerely wish to interfaith with other religions (including Paganism). The trouble is that the ruling theocracy will utterly crush these naive types after first allowing them to find out more about the opposition (us). The fundie leaders have no wish to share their hard-earned spiritual monopoly with Pagans. They regard this as a Christian country not a multi-faith country. So any unenlightened Pagan who tries to convince you otherwise is living in a state of complete ignorance. By playing the interfaith game one is in effect eroding Pagan rights. We know this because we base our comments on hard evidence, not pie in the sky glib ideals.

The Christian ideal of spreading the gospel means two things: TO CONVERT OR TO SUPPRESS OTHER FAITHS THAT DIFFER FROM THE CHRISTIAN IDEAL. Remember what happened next, after Saint Augustine landed in England? It's happening all over again and the naive Pagan twits that flock to interfaith events are helping the intolerant fundie cause along very nicely. If you know any of these poor misguided souls them please wise them up for us BEFORE THEY DO ANY MORE DAMAGE TO US ALL.

Our beef is with the hard-line fundie activists and pious leaders, not the ordinary person in the street who blindly calls themselves 'Christian'. This is a very important fact as many Liberal minded Xtians wish to play down the real intolerant essence that underlies Biblical philosophy and belief structure.

Any information that these sad individuals divulge in interfaith sooner rather than later creeps back into the hands of the Evangelical elite. This is then twisted to be used in actions against us all. It's happened lots of times in the past and will continue to do us no good whatsoever in the future.

PAN wonders what the real motive behind Interfaithing Pagans really is. It's certainly not for the good of Paganism. No that's for sure; all evidence proves the contrary. The reason is we believe: to expand their own sense of self-importance, impress their chums and prop-up their immature self seeking egos. If any Pagans out there wish to feel more important then please drop us a line we can find plenty for you to do.

Tough talk yes, but this is not a matter of opinion it is fact! Many such Pagans give interviews to the media without even asking PAN/SAFF advice about who they are talking to or what actual purpose/goal is hoped to be achieved with the contact in question. They rush in without any real idea about the game plan needed to highlight Pagan-rights in the most effective manner. The media snap their fingers and the gleeful, self-importance seekers come crashing in like lambs to the slaughter. Guess who has to deal with the fall-out from such irresponsible people? Numerous chances have been lost in this way, chances that could have been used to give Paganism a great opportunity to improve its standing in society. Sad but true. We are loaded with this type of time wrecking nonsense. Our workload is expanding so of course we can well do without having to explain the true perspective on Anti-Defamation to everyone and his brother. Members can help us greatly here by enlightening others to what's what and getting them to join the fight.

Because of our fast growing membership we at PAN cannot possibly afford to update those folk who refuse to liaise with us. So much data is incoming every day thanks to the efforts of COMMITTED PAGANS who are good 'PANNERS.' Our workload is such that we are now unable to send out bulletins to Pagans that never return our favours, (stamps and other materials cost money, please remember all our work is voluntary, we do it because someone has to). We have got a deadly serious job to do with the campaign, so please wise up any friends about the cause. Also please write to Pagan/New-Age magazine editors and publishers that you suspect of being apathetic. Ask them to advertise SAFF and the PAN and also ask them to consider inserting an article about Anti-Defamation in their mags/booklists et al. Ask them if they are going to mount a reverse-campaign against the fundie machine. Ask them just what they are going to do to help fight fundie pressure?

EDITORS, WHY NOT INSERT THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR MAGAZINE. OK, WE KNOW IT MAY UPSET SOME OF YOUR READERSHIP WHO THINK THEY KNOW BETTER THAN HARD-WORKING MONITORING ORGANISATIONS LIKE PAN AND SAFF; SO WHAT THE HECK, YOU CAN'T MAKE AN OMELETTE WITHOUT CRACKING EGGS.

Ask others if they are supporting SAFF/PAN work and if not why not?

Genuine committed Pagans who know what is really happening behind the scenes (and are liaising with us) can largely ignore this request for help, you can feel proud. However you cannot feel complacent, there is a long way to go before we have managed to enlighten all the apathetics. It's a crying shame that we have to waste valuable time kicking apathetic ass, when this time should be devoted to the Pagan/Heathen-rights cause. This fight is not someone else's it is yours, so act now for all our freedoms.

Don't let fundamentalist lies and pressure about your beliefs erode your true religious rights any further. History always comes down to two types of people: those that DO and those that DON'T. What are you going to tell your grandchildren when they ask what you did for 'PAGAN' FREEDOM OF BELIEF?
