You gotta hand it to the fundies they certainly have tricky-dicky minds to be able to think up all these dodges to force Christianity upon the rest of us. Now, as the extract from their own pronouncement below shows, they are bussing Christians into politically marginal areas in order to set up Christian Ghettoes and topple non-Christian political agendas. This is a very dangerous situation of course and undoubtedly it will work for them big-time. The fundie circuit preys on dispossessed marginalised folk who are down on their luck; an opportunity for such people to start life afresh in a secure new job and new location is just too good to pass up. It's a logical extension of their Christian Communities idea of course. 'Plant' a house-church in an area where agnosticism flourishes and grow an activist cell which progressively changes local politics and imposes biblical writ through the usual scare tactics. The crucial difference is that in the old style house-church movement the idea was to hi-jack the local moribund political scene and gain unmandated influence by making the running on Christianised initiatives. This new idea is a complete demographic restructuring by 'bussing in the Xtians'. A ghettoising of politically marginal areas. They probably got the idea from the way that immigrants have taken over inner-city areas and converted them into centres of Islamic culture, subsequently restructuring the local political scene to suit their own purposes. Of course the fundies couldn't get away with it in the 'old' USA as it would be considered unconstitutional but under Bush's Jehovah-centric administration when the supreme court has been nobbled by fundies the US constitution is not going to help protect secularism at all.
The prospect of sectarian apartheid splitting a state or county is a very real worry. Look what is happening in Nigeria at the moment - thousands of people being killed in the Moslem Vs Christian conflict in the North versus the South of the country. Also in Northern India where Hindu and Moslem enmity nearly caused a nuclear war. Then there's Palestine of course, an open sectarian sore for thousands of years. Or look at the recently fashionable 'ethnic' cleansing in Sudan. And, of course, nearer home we have the decades long holy war in Northern Ireland. All these conflicts are cleverly termed 'ethnic' cleansing by the Xist politicians but what they really are is a Holy War, usually Christians against Moslems; which the SAFF prophesied over a decade ago. We have always said that the fundie generals are very, very clever people and this just proves it. Apparently the hottest received opinion on the political strategy front is that special/single interest groups are going to be the new political force. That is, individuals standing for election on single issues only - a kind of proportional representation. We at the SAFF believe that to be very true and the fundies are always quick to commandeer any powerbase for their own purposes

A DECLARATION OF CHRISTIAN APARTHEID?
ChristianExodus.org is moving thousands of Christian constitutionalists to specific legislative districts in South Carolina through a series of emigrations. Our board of directors considers the values of this state to be very similar to the values held by our membership. Additionally, South Carolina possesses a rich history of standing up for her rights. The legislative districts will be selected based upon, but not limited to, the following criteria: Voter turnout in primary elections. Moral nature of the electorate. Cost of living/housing. Economic opportunity. Christian educational choices.Phase One: The first move will commence when ChristianExodus.org reaches 12,000 members. Our research committee is currently selecting the first 12 targeted state House districts. We will encourage 1,000 members toward each of these 12 districts. That number of activist émigrés, when combined with the present Christian electorate, will enable us to send 12 Christian sovereigntists to Columbia. This amounts to 10% of the State House, and will allow us to bring independence to a significant public debate. Initial goals: 12,000 members by December 31, 2006. Move thousands into South Carolina by December 31, 2007. Work several state campaigns in 2008 (election goals set at that time). Complete Phase One by end of 2008.
Additional Phases: Supplementary emigrations will begin with each new set of 12,000 members. In other words, the first 12,000 members will successfully execute Phase One. They will be followed by the next 12,000 members to another 12 House legislative districts (Phase Two). Then the third set of 12,000 members will relocate to yet another twelve House districts (Phase Three). ChristianExodus.org will continue this process until the General Assembly is squarely in the hands of Christian Constitutionalists. It is possible that previously selected legislative districts may need to be reinforced with new members; therefore subsequent phases may target fewer than twelve districts. Distinct phases enable members to commit to move when they feel most comfortable. Some folks are ready to go today, and others will want to see some success before committing. The pioneers of Phase One will demonstrate the success of ChristianExodus.org's strategy, and pave the way for others to follow. Won't you join us in Phase One today?
Intermediate goals: Complete multiple phases by end of 2013. OVERWHELMINGLY AFFECT THE STATE ELECTIONS OF 2014. Request constitutional reforms returning proper autonomy to the state. IF REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES DOES NOT OCCUR, CALL FOR A CONVENTION OF THE PEOPLE AND SEEK INDEPENDENCE BY 2016.
Employment: ChristianExodus.org understands that an important concern to our membership will be employment in our destination state. To help our members find employment, we will establish an employment service within our organization. ChristianExodus.org will recruit employers to hire our members as they emigrate. Different programs and incentives are currently being evaluated in the hope that we'll be able to find desired employment for all members who need help. Once launched, check our Employment page occasionally for updates and new opportunities.
Independence: CHRISTIANEXODUS.ORG REALLY DESIRES THE RETURN OF CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMITED GOVERNMENT TO THE WHOLE OF THESE UNITED STATES. Let us reiterate that independence from the union is only a means to an end and is necessary only as a last resort. Recent events suggest that it may become necessary, because no such return to constitutional principles appears likely. South Carolina's independence will be achieved by constitutional convention rescinding our state's ratification of the U.S. Constitution. CHRISTIANEXODUS.ORG WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE CHRISTIANS INTO SOUTH CAROLINA UNTIL WE POSSESS A REPRESENTATIVE MAJORITY IN BOTH HOUSES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. SUCH A STRATEGY WILL MAKE THE INDEPENDENCE DEBATE PUBLIC, AND THE INFLUENCE OF OUR MEMBERSHIP WILL TIP THE SCALES IN FAVOR OF INDEPENDENCE.
