| I'd always wanted some Fantastic Four action figures and with a complete Mego set costing far too much I set out, early in my custom career, to make my own. Reed is a 12" Mego
Superman with a new paintjob, while Sue started life as a Cinderella doll. The craftsmanship isn't terribly great, but I was chuffed with these at the time. Right up until I picked up the paper and read about the Famous Covers Reed and Sue set. D'oh! |

| Created before Reed and Sue above, Ben Grimm is a milliput covered 12" Incredible Hulk. And what a lot of milliput it took too! He's a pretty hefty figure who took several days
to make, modelling a limb a day. I waited until the milliput was halfway through drying before carving in the cracks. I never got around to a 12" Human Torch to finish the set... I'll wait and see how Toybiz do him in FC scale first! |
